Position: Assistant Teacher

The American School of Benguerir (ASB), a growing American international school committed to excellence in education, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead teacher in implementing engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with ASB’s curriculum and educational philosophy.
• Assist with classroom management, organization, and the preparation of instructional materials.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts introduced by the lead teacher.
• Provide supervision and ensure student safety during class time, recess, lunch, and transitions.
• Help track student progress and maintain accurate records under the guidance of the lead teacher.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to foster a positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is English
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); French or Arabic is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to student learning, well-being, and inclusion.
• Flexible, collaborative, and eager to learn from others.
