My name is Sophia Wanjala Barasa, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the newest applicant to the teaching team. Education has always been my passion, and I am excited to bring my enthusiasm to all students. I hold a B.Sc. degree with a major in chemistry and a minor in mathematics and a postgraduate diploma in education from Moi and Kenyatta Universities respectively. I am a Kenyan and, therefore, can speak fluently in both Kiswahili and English. My journey in education has provided me with 10 years of teaching experiences with different levels of students from diverse cultures that have shaped my teaching philosophy. I can teach Chemistry, Science, Physics, Math and ESL internationally. . My goal is not only to impart knowledge but also to foster a love for learning that will extend beyond the classroom. In my classroom, you can expect a blend of innovative teaching methods, hands-on activities, and technology integration to keep the learning experience engaging and relevant. I am a firm believer in the importance of cultivating critical thinking skills, creativity, and a sense of curiosity in my students.
