Upper School IB French A Teacher

We are seeking for the 2024-2025 school year (position starting in early August 2024):

An experienced Upper School IB French A teacher

KEY JOB TASKS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach IB French A: Language and Literature courses.
• Develop and deliver a curriculum that aligns with the IB standards and promotes critical thinking and analysis of French literature and language.
• Design assessments that accurately measure student understanding and proficiency in French A.
• Provide meaningful feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
• Participate in IB training and professional development sessions to stay current with IB pedagogy and requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Contribute to the school’s mission and participate in school-wide events and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High proficiency in French, with excellent command of both written and spoken French.
• French Teaching Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching IB French A or equivalent high school French literature and language courses.
• Strong understanding of the IB French A curriculum and assessment criteria.
• Familiarity with the linguistic landscape of Morocco is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in English both written and oral (at least B1 level of the CEFR).
• Open-mindedness, adaptability, and cultural agility.
• Availability and excellent team-working skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Initiative and innovation in teaching methods.
• Experience teaching French in an international context is a strong advantage.
