Position Opening: Part-Time High School Science Teacher
Location: The American School of Marrakesh
Start Date: September 2025
The American School of Marrakesh is seeking a dynamic and experienced Part-Time High School Science Teacher to teach the following courses for the 2025–2026 academic year:
- IB Environmental Systems & Societies (ESS)
- High School General Science
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with course objectives and standards
- Assess and support student progress through formative and summative evaluations
- Collaborate with the Science Department and wider faculty
- Participate in school meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development as required for part-time staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field
- Professional fluency in English is required
- Teaching credential or certification
- Experience teaching IB Environmental Systems & Societies is strongly preferred
- Experience with high school science instruction in an international or inquiry-based context is an asset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
