Purpose
Rabat American School is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, experienced Librarian who
will be responsible for the management and the operations of the RAS library and
Learning Commons – ensuring access to a diverse range of resources and promoting a
positive learning environment. The Librarian will be also responsible for providing
assistance to the library users and implementing library programs.
The Librarian is expected to lead, manage and coordinate the school library,
information literacy resources and support staff. The Librarian supports the
community-wide development of information literacy, study skills, and a love of
reading.

Required Qualifications:

• Masters of Library Science.
• Teaching credential or qualification in Library Science.
• Minimum 2 years of educational experience.
• Experience with inquiry learning, differentiated instruction, working with multilingual
  learners, positive behavior approach, responsive classroom, and community circle.
• Knowledge of standards: AASL Standards for Learners, Libraries, and Librarians.
