Position Overview:
HS English Teacher for grades 9–12. (Coverage for our HS English Teacher From the 22nd of August until the 31st of October)
Teach English/Language Arts courses to high school students in an American-curriculum environment.
Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that promote critical thinking, reading, writing, communication, and analysis.
Support the development of students’ writing skills through explicit instruction and consistent writing practices.
Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and contribute to a positive high school learning community.

Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience teaching English, Language Arts, Literature, or Humanities at the secondary level.
Secondary teaching license or certification in English/Language Arts or a relevant subject area.
A Master’s Degree in English, Education, or a related subject area is preferred.
Knowledge of child protection issues.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and others.
Positive attitude and commitment to student growth and learning.
Ability to participate effectively in collaborative structures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Recent and relevant professional experience at an American-curriculum upper school.
Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Experience teaching with a standards-based curriculum.
Experience teaching writing using explicit, structured approaches such as The Writing Revolution.
Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with a range of learning needs.
Workdays
(Coverage for our HS English Teacher From the 22nd of August until the 31st of October)– Monday through Friday from 8 to 4.30
