IB Diploma Programme Core Teacher (Theory of Knowledge) À Temps Plein

Casablanca American School is seeking an experienced and passionate IB Diploma Programme Core Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Theory of Knowledge (TOK) within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), including guiding students through both the TOK Essay and TOK Exhibition components.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the IB philosophy and be committed to supporting students as they develop critical thinking, inquiry, reflection, and academic writing skills essential for success in the IB Diploma Programme. Strong organizational and planning skills are essential, as the role requires managing multiple deadlines, monitoring student progress, and coordinating support throughout the TOK process.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK) to IB Diploma Programme students.
• Guide and mentor students through the development and completion of the TOK Essay and TOK Exhibition.
• Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, inquiry, and interdisciplinary connections.
• Establish clear timelines and checkpoints to support student success with TOK requirements.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and individualized support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure students meet internal and external IB deadlines.
• Collaborate with IB teachers, coordinators, counselors, and administrators to support student achievement.
• Participate actively in school events, professional development, and faculty initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.
• Experience teaching Theory of Knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of IB philosophy, assessment practices, and student-centered instruction.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate, and support students in achieving academic success.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• IB training in Theory of Knowledge.
• International school experience.
• Experience supporting students in IB Core components such as the Extended Essay, CAS, or other aspects of the Diploma Programme.
