Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Dean of Students

Contract: Local position (one year renewable based on performance and mutual agreement)

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students (AADS) is responsible for a range of administrative and logistical duties and managing effective systems and protocols within the Dean’s Office. The AADS plays a critical role in ensuring student safety with timely tracking of student attendance, conducting and serves as a key provider of community updates and reliable information.The successful candidate will handle administrative tasks, clerical tasks, student supervision, and confidential information with discretion and maturity.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate tracking of daily attendance, including collaboration with teaching faculty for timely submission of attendance information and following up on unexcused absences with families.
Providing database support to the dean’s office, including the design and deployment of forms, surveys, and queries in the school’s student information system (Rediker)
Collect and maintain records of behavior-related and discipline-related data to track progress and support decision-making.
Assist in maintaining effective and regular communication with parents, teachers, and counselors regarding student behavior, progress, and interventions.
Support with scheduling and coordinating appointments with Dean’s office.
Participate in tracking and supervision of lunch detentions, in-school detentions, and out-of-school detentions.
Forward situations and issues presented by staff, faculty, and external constituents to appropriate staff members for resolution.
Respond to inquiries regarding school and campus operations, policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by Dean of Students to ensure the smooth running of the Student Support team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Education or a related field)
Fluency in English, Arabic and French
2 years of experience working in a school administrative role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
Experience with students in behavior support or counseling roles is a plus.
