Khalil Gibran School Rabat (KGSR) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Part-time Teacher of ICT/Computer Science for August 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the Head of Department and for the Deputy Head Academic in maintaining high academic standards within their subject area. To ensure that students are supported in their learning journey through Senior School and set the highest aspirations for their students’ achievement and development, both in the classroom and through the many extra-curricular activities on offer.

• Implement a comprehensive Science lesson plan that addresses the needs of students at different proficiency levels and ages.
• To provide lesson plans, resources and peer teaching opportunities to assist and support local teachers.
• Possess a functional familiarity with the relationship between the UK National Curriculum guidelines, STEAM initiatives, IB and other International educational philosophies.
• Creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and voicing concerns.
• Keep up to date with curriculum developments through reading and CPD opportunities.

We are looking for reflective practitioners who have:

• Full police disclosure or equivalent, and who are committed to the welfare of all children
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science with teaching qualification
• Experience delivering either UK National Curriculum or Cambridge Primary and/or Moroccan Curriculum
• Confidence in the use of ICT in teaching
• High expectations and aspirations for all students
• A commitment to the overall development of young people
• An open-minded approach to their work, are willing to learn and develop
• A demonstrable love for what they do and a proven track record
• Previous teaching experience in a high-performing international school is an advantage.
